The Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation is an organisation focused on giving families with children who have life-threatening illnesses some respite throughout their treatment. To provide a place where they can stay and enjoy some quality time with the whole family.
What we offer is quality time to families who want to spend time together during a stressful and painful period of their lives. We give families an opportunity to create memories with their children who are experiencing things that many of us dare not think about.
The Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation have two caravans where families are able to go for holidays and these are:
Church Farm Holiday Village, Pagham, near Chichester
In 2015 the charity purchased a new Lodge at Church Farm Holiday Village. The lodge has been especially adapted to allow for wheelchair access and to be able to cope with the many medical requirements that so many families have.
With an indoor pool with great flume ride and heated outdoor pool, tranquil strolls around the nature reserve, a walk along the boardwalk down to the beach to enjoy the fresh sea air and the stunning Pagham lagoon waiting to be explored next door there is plenty to do.
New Forest National Park at Hoburne, Bashley
The Charity are now the proud owners of a new 3 Bed Caravan (purchased in 2016) within the majestic New Forest National Park at Hoburne. The caravan sleeps 8 people and will join the charities portfolio of accommodation to provide respite care for families coming from up and down the country.
Having a 3rd caravan means that not only can we meet the increasing demands placed on the charity by families in need, but we can offer more choice to those families.
With a wealth of things to do including an entertainment complex, children’s activities, soft play, indoor and outdoor pools, nature trails and crazy golf there it’s a lovely place for a break.
